P.G. Porter Lodge was formed April 7, 1973 on Scott Airforce Base, Illinois. The Lodge was named in memory of the Most Worshipful Grand Master, Prentice G. Porter of the Kansas Jurisdiction, who in July 1973 traveled to that undiscovered land from whose bourne no traveler returns. His endeavors in the work and love for Masonry were unequaled. P.G. Porter Lodge No. 142 recieved its dispensation on December 18, 1973 from the dynamic Most Worshipful Grand Master Rufus Starks 33rd degree P.G. Porter Lodge No.142 has developed into a splendid fraternal order of minded men attaining social and academic excellency of the highest degree. The scope of our reality has infiltrated all phases ofr Scott AFB community activities and endeavors. From our ranks come Ministers of local churches, Scout Masters, Little league and Varsity Baseball and Football Coaches, Academic Scholars, and other resourceful men who stand ready at all times to assist those in need. We are also honored to have in our ranks Past Right Worshipful Grand Junior Warden Brother Earl D. Scott, Also Past Worthy Grand Patron Of Eureka Grand Chapter, Order Of The Eastern Star, Brother Jerome Abner, and other appointed grand Lodge Officers. P.G. Porter Lodge No.142 will continue this beautiful Masonic work, so that pleasures of Fellowship and Brotherhood may be enjoyed by all. |
